Angelo pignati also known as the pigman, the book is a very interesting read like how the chapters are shared between john and Lorraine which makes it exciting to see the next one, to see their point of view. There is no great detail put into the families, which I believe is intentional. I can connect this book to myself because sometimes I think that my family is a little crazy. Pignati is anxious to see Bobo, but he learns that Bobo has died. Paul has big issues in his life with everything. Judging by the beginning of the tale, when they look back on what has happened, they don't appear to have learned from the experience or to really be sorry about it. His mom was unstable and his life was unstable and he could have easily slipped through the cracks into obscurity and unhappiness.
Paul's mom moved them around a lot, but it seemed like things were finally working out for Paul. Then she raised her arm and slapped me once across the face. Death I think is the main theme in the story because they are all talking about it and with Bobo and the Pigman dying I think that is a pretty good assumption. They notice the desperation in the Pigman, and are drawn to spend time with him. His mom is a little crazy because she believes that society is always watching her publicly. I'll be contemplating that one a while.
Numerous characters in this story die. Every word of his story is true. John and Lorraine are two teenagers from dysfunctional families who just want to have fun - the trouble is, the 'fun' turns into tragedy. At 149 pages, this is a short and quick read. The very best part of the arrangement was the presence of Connie's father--Nonno Frankie.

The most significant event in the book revolves around the man who inspired the main character of the one his best-known novels, The Pigman. Bindel writes about some very hard things in a light way. Today's drug culture hadn't taken hold to anything like the present degree; the only dangerous drugs they have to contend with are nicotine which, of course, is deadly enough and alcohol. While some of these deaths are treated as non-important information, they are all tragic.
