The Pigman & Me (Audiobook) by Paul Zindel

Angelo pignati also known as the pigman, the book is a very interesting read like how the chapters are shared between john and Lorraine which makes it exciting to see the next one, to see their point of view. There is no great detail put into the families, which I believe is intentional. I can connect this book to myself because sometimes I think that my family is a little crazy. Pignati is anxious to see Bobo, but he learns that Bobo has died. Paul has big issues in his life with everything. Judging by the beginning of the tale, when they look back on what has happened, they don't appear to have learned from the experience or to really be sorry about it. His mom was unstable and his life was unstable and he could have easily slipped through the cracks into obscurity and unhappiness.

Paul's mom moved them around a lot, but it seemed like things were finally working out for Paul. Then she raised her arm and slapped me once across the face. Death I think is the main theme in the story because they are all talking about it and with Bobo and the Pigman dying I think that is a pretty good assumption. They notice the desperation in the Pigman, and are drawn to spend time with him. His mom is a little crazy because she believes that society is always watching her publicly. I'll be contemplating that one a while.

I think it's often a lot more cruel. He would visit the baboon constantly and feed him peanuts, saying that it was his favorite snack. Set in New York City in the mid sixties, this story doesn't feel This is a coming of age story told from a young adult perspective with the narrative split between John Conlan, a young good-looking rebel who one day hopes to be an actor, and Lorraine, a not very-attractive girl who lives with her single mom. If you're looking for a feel-good read, despite its moments of humor and lightheartedness, this isn't one. Zindel wrote a screenplay, adapting the book for the stage and screen, but it was not taken up by any film maker.

I gave this book 5 stars because it is very fun to read and th This boy is about a kid, Paul who has a Pigman. In the end, they are blamed for his heart attack and the story ends with a young man and a young woman older, but wiser. It's hardly a novel, even, it's so light on story. The most significant event in the book revolves around the man who inspired the main character of the one his best-known novels, The Pigman. Bindel writes about some very hard things in a light way. Today's drug culture hadn't taken hold to anything like the present degree; the only dangerous drugs they have to contend with are nicotine which, of course, is deadly enough and alcohol. While some of these deaths are treated as non-important information, they are all tragic.
